Plush Dependency

Plush Dependency

For children attachment to plush items is accepted and seen as normal. However, as they grow older, they are often expected to give up these “childish” objects in order to become mature adults.

As a result, this type of attachment is often hidden or disappears from public life. This project challenges this idea by bringing “adult attachment to plush items” back into public space, allowing it to be seen, discussed, and understood.

By presenting plush attachment in this way, the project aims to show that such attachments are not unusual or something that needs to be hidden. It offers a way to rethink the role of plush objects and emotional dependency in contemporary adult life.
